Experience

I joined Stifel in 2015 as part of its acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas. Prior to Stifel, I began my career as a Financial Advisor in 2011 with Merrill Lynch.

 


Philosophy

It is important for an investor to develop clear views of what they want out of their money and explore the range of outcomes that they are comfortable experiencing with their investments.

When this is complete, an investor can identify investments that may behave in ways that align with the outcomes that they desire.  I believe an investor is best served by implementing investments that are simple to understand and have a history of providing strong returns.

An investment portfolio should be implemented with a long-term commitment coupled with ongoing financial advisor/investor communication to help ensure the investments coordinate with the investor's desired outcomes.  The entirety of this process can be customized, and coupled with the flux of markets and continual emergence of new investment opportunities, an investor can help mitigate risk to their investing journey with the guidance of a financial advisor who draws from wide-ranging investment experiences.

My Early Days

My interest in investments started at a very young age.  For almost as long as I can remember, I have been interested in investing and business.  I credit my father with sparking that interest because he stressed the importance of working hard, saving money, and investing.

When I was a child, my father and I would review the performance of stocks published in the newspaper each day.  He would point to different stocks that he owned, and I was fascinated with the concept of simply putting money into something that could potentially generate more money (and, of course, lose money) without you having to physically do anything.  Ever since those early days, I always knew that I wanted to work in the investment business.

 

My Professional Experience

I began my career as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in 2011, where I started building a client base of individual investors for investment planning and investment management services.  I joined Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, in 2014, to continue working with individual investors and build a client base of family offices and institutional investors.  Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas was subsequently acquired by Stifel in 2015, and since I have joined Stifel, I have continued growing the two client verticals of individual and institutional investors by providing investment products and services specific to their respective needs.
